Community Extension Program
HITRUST believes community support and collaboration, especially for smaller or less sophisticated organizations, is essential to drive security and the overall protection of health information.
The HITRUST Community Extension Program provides a local venue for healthcare information security professionals to network with peers, share experiences and receive guidance on a multitude of information security topics. The goal of the program is to provide education and facilitate the adoption of good information security practices across the country.
Program content is geared towards anyone responsible for safeguarding health information. Participants may include chief privacy officers, chief security officers, chief information security officers and those individuals involved with information security strategy. Participation is open and free of charge to any healthcare organization.
Sessions, which are approximately two hours in length, will occur nationwide and select venues will be broadcast live via the Internet to allow remote participation.
