HITRUST Academy offers the only training courses designed to educate healthcare security professionals regarding information protection in the healthcare industry and the utilization of the HITRUST CSF and CSF Assurance related tools and programs. The classroom course is required for those individuals wishing to test for, and obtain, the HITRUST Certified CSF Practitioner (CCSFP) designation.
We’re pleased to announce that our training has been significantly enhanced to create a better understanding of the CSF and the use of the MyCSF tool in conducting an assessment and the process of becoming certified.
We have enhanced the following:
- Scoping Exercises
- Hands-on exercises in the MyCSF tool
- Scoring Exercises
- Daily Pretests
This year’s courses will also address recent updates to the CSF, which include changes from the continuing optimization of the CSF; updated mappings and content for the HITRUST De-ID Framework, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, CSA CCM, PCI DSS and the AICPA Trust Services Principles and Criteria; and discussions around the use of combined SOC2 for HITRUST reports and new NIST Cybersecurity Framework implementation guidance for the healthcare industry.
HITRUST Academy courses are intended to prepare security professionals to implement the CSF and leverage it to assess against the evolving compliance landscape shaped by HITECH, HIPAA, CMS, and various other federal, state, and business requirements. The courses are highly recommended for any privacy or security professional who is responsible for protecting health information, planning to implement the CSF or preparing for a self- or third-party assessment.
Remaining HITRUST Academy dates for 2016 are now available.
Participants in the online course are eligible for eight hours of CPE credit; participants in the onsite course are eligible for 16 hours of CPE credit. Attendees will be provided with a certificate of attendance.
