CTX Transition Announcement
<< All Press Releases

Date: October 11, 2016

We are pleased to announce some very exciting changes to the HITRUST CTX program. This program has been a big success, and we continue to add new functionality and features to simplify collaboration, tracking and monitoring of threats, along with multiple new technology integrations that will allow organizations to operationalize cyber threat intelligence into their current security controls.

Over the course of the HITRUST CTX initiative, and in conjunction with the improvements to the platform and member feedback, we have concluded that many organizations see the need for improvement in the ingestion of IOCs and the detection / response that ensues.  This challenge is not unique to healthcare, and it is consistent across all industries.

Working with our partner Anomali, we have jointly built new technology that streamlines IOC management and threat response into the HITRUST CTX. The new technology allows organizations to analyze hundreds of millions of IOCs by simply enabling the CTX Reports’ breach detection service. CTX Reports provides organizations visibility into specific threats in their network that match known IOCs. This service not only compares traffic today but allows organizations to analyze up to 360 days of historical data as well to identify potential past breaches.

Members of the CTX community are entitled to free use of CTX Reports for up to 1GB/day of data. Members will continue to receive two free user accounts as well. We will also begin publishing a weekly healthcare threat bulletin based on CTX IOCs in coordination with Anomali Labs and Trend Micro Forward Threat Research teams.

Please note, the basic CTX subscription will no longer include integrations to security products like SIEM or endpoints and will become part of premium level subscriptions.

Thank you for all your support. We are very excited about the new capabilities and look forward to working with you to leverage unique threat intelligence to secure your organizations.
