The Health Information Trust Alliance (HITRUST) and Silect Software Inc., a leading provider of management solutions for System Center 2012, announced that they have been chosen by Microsoft to partner to deliver a new real-time compliance monitoring solution that is fully integrated with System Center 2012. The HITRUST Real-Time Compliance (RTC) Pack will be previewed this week in Microsoft’s booth at the HIMSS conference in Chicago.
“Microsoft realizes that a simplified, proactive approach to regulatory compliance can bring tremendous value to our healthcare customers. We also understand that our customers have requested that we leverage the knowledge of HITRUST to inform how we build effective and tailored healthcare compliance solutions,” said Michael D. Robinson, Vice President, Microsoft US Health & Life Sciences.
Robinson continues, “To deliver on this ask, we are combining the management capabilities of Silect and the advanced operational capabilities of System Center, with the expert knowledge and content of the HITRUST CSF to bring to market a solution that simplifies the complex issue of healthcare regulatory compliance. We believe that this new combined solution can make this easier, less costly, and provides an efficiently managed and proactive process.”
The HITRUST Real-Time Compliance (RTC) Pack will enable organizations to have real-time, operational awareness regarding their security compliance. By leveraging the capabilities within System Center 2012, IT Operations can see their compliance status at any point-in-time allowing them to maintain and improve their risk posture and cyber security readiness.
The new solution is driven by the healthcare industry, which identified the opportunity and encouraged Microsoft and Silect to partner with HITRUST. The initial release focuses on HIPAA security with plans to expand the solution to include additional regulations and standards that map into the HITRUST CSF.
HITRUST and Silect are currently demonstrating the solution in the Microsoft booth at the HIMSS 2015 Conference. For more information visit the HIPAA Compliance Solution for Microsoft System Center page.
